Ruth D. Angell, 78, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept.13, 2008, at Community Skilled Health Care Center.

She was born March 30, 1930, in Warren, the daughter of Clarence G. and Violet M. (Kinnaman) Williams.

A lifetime Warren resident, she was a devoted and loving homemaker. Ruth enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and formerly taught Sunday school at Leavittsburg Nazarene Church.

Her husband, William H. Angell, whom she married Oct. 16, 1951, preceded her in death Oct.11, 1958. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert A. Jessep in 1962; five brothers, Philo, Robert, James, Paul and John Williams; a sister, Irene Williams and two sons-in-law John Wilson and Gary Eavenson.

Surviving are three daughters, Garnet I. (Kenneth) Jones of Niles, Kathy Eavenson of Cortland, Carolyn Doolittle of Warren and an adopted daughter, Darcy ''Cookie'' Stano of Warren. She also leaves two brothers, Floyd (Jeanette) Williams of Leavittsburg and Ralph Williams of Howland, a sister June A. Peterson of Howland; 11 grandchildren, Angela, Catina, Debbie, Michael, Alicia, Crystal, April, Justin, Christina, Kenny and Sierra; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Roberts Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the services. Pastor Lynn Nichols will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
